Mobile AL - October 4th Evening

In Mobile Alabama, on the weekend of October 3rd, the largest music festival in the state of Alabama will take place, and culminate with the Bayfest Brawl! For Individuals (RX, Scaled, Beginners and BIG DAWGS - strength focus), and Two Person Mixed Gender Teams (XY's - RX and Scaled). Come listen to music for two days then brawl it out at the 30,000 sq ft venue on Sunday! (masters event Saturday night - see below for link)

The WOD’s will be WOD 1 and 3 of the Masters Tour, plus the AXLE Front Rack Lunge – those details are being withheld!  (beginners will be announced)

BIG DAWGS don’t Burpee.  Burpees are laughable to BIG DAWGS – so they just deadlift axles until they cannot hold them any longer.

2014 marks the fist year for the Bayfest Brawl, but it is a continuation of the 2012 and 2013 Biloxi Blues event.  Moving to Bayfest this year because of all there is to gain from Mobile at this time.  An indoor venue taking away the weather concerns of October, as well as offering opportunities to be in and around the activity of Bayfest!Bayfest

There is a STRONGMAN certification with Rob Orlando happening on Saturday the 4th, so we are bringing the Big Dawg division with a bend towards heavier loads, and shorter duration WOD’s.  Big Dawgs should be able to DL 405 for reps, Clean 225 for reps, and shoulder to overhead 185 for reps.  

 The RX, Scaled and beginer Divisions have these commitments

 -RX: Barbell strengths should allow for reps at 155/105 shoulder to overhead, 275/155 DL, Clean 185/115.  Chest to Bar Pull-ups.  Hand stand push-ups.Scaled: 95/65 Shoulder to Overhead.  185/115 DL, Clean 95/65.  All other movements will be appropriate for a scaled competitor.Beginner: basic movements at 45# barbell, no skills will be required without substitutions.  Appropriate for someone CrossFitting for 0-6 months, or limited in their abilities for other reasons.Masters – your event is Saturday evening here:  The Masters TourWOD’s will be out soon as well as hotel options.
